Personally, I have found this to be one of the most impressive things my phone can do. If you have a computer at home, and ever wished that you could squeeze it down small enough to keep in your pocket.. Well, you can come -pretty- close!
There are -many- apps that let you do this, and each is a little bit different, but they will bring up your computer screen right on your phone, allow you to move the mouse, type, run programs.. Everything!
Some warning: This can be an advanced process, as you have to configure both your computer and occasionally your home network to get it set up the first time. If having access to all your home data anytime is appealing though, it's well worth it! To find the programs that function this way, do a search in your app store for "VNC", there will be lots to choose from!
If this sounds appealing but is a little too daunting, I'd recommend the Dropbox app. It makes a folder on your computer that you can use on any other device using dropbox, including your phone! It's all kept safe with a login/password, but opens up your data to be accessible where you need it! (And the two work great together too!)
